I will prepare the most beautiful of rose gardens for you …
Walk on the stones of the shore so you can swim in the waters of the ocean.
So often we want to enjoy something without having to work for it - instant gratification. But life demands work from us. Without effort how can we reach the ocean, let alone cross it? Without desire to change for the better, goals and action, how can we reach a worthy destination?
Oh my! Wouldn’t you love to be on a veranda like that? A cup of tea, a few friends, on a lovely day. What more could one ask for?
Seeing the world through the eyes of vintagerosegarden is looking at a world full of gorgeous colors. Such a lovely site, check it out.
What if I wrote my feelings about you on every shore in the world?
Is there someone in your life that you really feel so much love for that you wouldn’t mind going around to every beach and ocean-front in the world and writing with your hand the love that you feel in your heart?
The challenge in life is to keep writing, keep expressing, your love, otherwise the waters of time may wash away your hearts deepest desire.
Can you imagine staying here, and how it would feel like waking up to the amazing surrounding views; or walking to the tip of this gorgeous place. Dream-like. I discovered this beautiful scene from coffeeandwords - an amazing blog full of passion for life, which I found on Cheri’s vintagecottagefrench - an incredible blog in her own right. It’s delightful discovering such beautiful blogs, and can only imagine how wonderful the people behind them are :)
Paint your life with the color of love and see your life and everyone elses radiate.
On the way to work everyday, after I get off the metro, I walk through several blocks to get to my office building. On one of the streets, there’s a street vendor who sits inside a small cart selling his goods. He sells hot-dogs, cookies and pastries, apples, bananas and oranges, soft-drinks, varieties of munchies, and sweets. Some days I stop by to purchase a fruit or two. I make conversation, he speaks broken English. He’s rather reserved. I’ve never seen him smile, he always seems so sad. I wonder if it’s because of his work. Perhaps that’s his demeanor and he’s really happy from the inside. I can’t be really sure. I’ve pondered asking him about his personal life, but not sure how he’d take it. Afraid that it might upset him to talk about it, I’m still waiting for the right moment. I find it difficult to imagine though: working all day long in space barely enough to move around. And I’ve seen him in that location for years now! Some days, I take that route not to purchase anything but to simply say hi hoping to cheer him up.
Do you find yourself cheering others through small acts of kindness? Tell me about a time?
Love in the color of earth? Love between our planet and us? Wow! Can you believe this?
Don’t you love it when you come across signs in nature that bespeak of human emotions? This stone carved in the shape of a heart, discovered under the sands of a beach, tells us that love is not foreign to our, seemingly inanimate and emotionless, mother earth. Perhaps she’s not as inanimate as we think. Perhaps she does have feelings and emotions.
But wait, isn’t this a sign, telling us that she really does know love? Afterall, she is so loving. How could we doubt that she doesn’t know love? Doesn’t she love us through providing us with air, water and food? Doesn’t she provide us with comfort through her warmth; and hug us with the right amount of atmospheric pressure so we can go about our daily lives? What if she wasn’t situated the correct distance from the Sun, would we even be here today? Instead we are here today, alive, comfortable, and tumbling along, because of her love.
So, why don’t we love her back? Why aren’t we kind in return? Though we can never match her love for us, at least we can hurt her less by being good to her and to one another.
Come, let us swing together once again,
Before this season too passes away,
So the wind may touch our souls again,
Before the fading of this lovely May.
love, Cheri (vintagecottagefrench)
Thank you for the encouraging words. You have a beautiful blog yourself. You seem like you have a garden in your heart.
You’re too kind, i’m humbled. So glad to know that my outpourings are inspiring. Actually the phrases and quotes, unless mentioned with author’s name, are the blossoms of my own heart. Stay happy and wonderful.
Thank you for the beautiful words, you have a splendid blog yourself. You’re an amazing artist and poet.
When it looks like your world is darkening upon you, then remember it’s only like a passing cloud, beautiful sunshine awaits behind the dark clouds to brighten up your life.
This picture resembles a scene from the park at Lake Erie, Cleveland, where I used to take walks at. It was a lovely place that, years ago, I had the fortune of living only minutes away from. Summers were so pleasant and beautiful. Walking next to the shore-line the breeze over the lake would caress my face and transport me to paradise and back. I miss it so much. The picture speaks to me, in so many ways.
Thank you. You sound like a very sweet person. I believe that “your word is the power that you have to create”(Don Ruiz). I truly believe this to be true. Each one of us affect ourselves and others profoundly by words. There is so much POWER in the words we utter: they can make or break a life. Imagine for a moment if all of us said words that were kind, positive, energy-filled, with ourselves and others :-)
For all our Moms … on Mother’s Day:
This is to let you know that we love you in countless ways. We will never forget how you put up with all our wants and ways before we even stepped into the world. Once you brought us to the world, with all the pain and difficulty that it entailed, you gave up your sweet sleep, and so much more, to nourish, cloth, and comfort us. You’d run to the doctor at the slightest sign of our pain. You’d bear the cold so we could be warm. You’d hold our hands so we could walk. You’d patiently read late in the nights so love of language would flower in our hearts. You’d joy for us every time we’d reach another milestone. You worried, you cared, you loved, so we would grow to live a thousand years and more. So, here and now, tomorrow and forever, we want you to know: we love you mom in countless ways.
